UPDATE! EAST LANSING LIGHTNING ALERT EXPIRED!
Due to the MSU home football game we are informing you the National Weather Service has advised lightning strikes have moved out of the area. You may resume normal outdoor activities. Shelter locations located at Wells Hall, Old Horticulture, Natural Science, Bessey Hall, Jenison Field House, Munn Ice Arena, Engineering Building, and Auditorium have closed. UPDATE! EAST LANSING UNKNOWN EMERGENCY!
Armed robbery was reported to have occurred outside of Snyder Hall. Law enforcement is on site and has one suspect in custody. The second suspect is believed to have left the area. There is no active threat to the campus. Normal activities may resume. No additional messages will be sent. Additional information can be found on alert.msu.edu.

Timely Warning for an Robbery occurring the City of East Lansing reported by Michigan State University Police Date Reported: 05-30-2024
Date Occurred: 05/30/2024
Location: Snyder Hall
Synopsis: The suspects ordered pizza, and when it was delivered to Snyder Hall, they approached the driver, asked for his wallet, and took the pizza. Suspect one displayed a grey handgun, possibly a Glock. The victim was struck after refusing to hand over his wallet. Both were last seen running south on Bogue into campus.
Suspect Information: Suspect one is a college-age male with a dark complexion, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, and a thin build who is wearing a purple hoodie. Suspect two is a college-age male with a dark complexion, approximately 6 foot 1 inch in height, and a thin build who is wearing a red hoodie.
Vehicle Information: No known vehicle

UPDATE! FLINT ALL CLEAR! Based upon information provided by Flint Police Department, the secure in place has been lifted and the “all clear” has been issued. All persons may return and resume regular activities.

Multiple shots were fired at the MTA bus station in Flint, near the Human Medicine building in Flint. Law enforcement is on scene. Suspects are believed to have left the area. Please remain sheltered in place. More information to follow.

Location: MSU Library- 366 W. Circle Drive
Description of Incident: On April 15, 2024 at Approximately 5:50 p.m., Michigan State University Police received a report of Hate Crime – Aggravated Assault that occurred at the East Lansing campus – MSU Library- 366 W. Circle Drive. A group of approximately five (5) suspects assaulted two (2) victims, intentionally selecting the victim(s) because of the perpetrator’s sexual orientation bias.

Reported by Michigan State University Police The following message contains information that may cause distress to some individuals. Date Reported: April 14, 2024 Date Occurred: April 13, 2024 through April 14, 2024 Location: Lot 91 – 953 Service Rd.
Description of Incident: On April 14, 2024 at , Michigan State University Police received a report of Series of Motor Vehicle Thefts that occurred at the East Lansing campus – Lot 91 – 953 Service Rd.. In the last two days a pattern has developed regarding thefts of motor vehicles in the area. Specifically on campus, there was a theft and an attempted theft of a motor vehicle in Lot 91. Suspects appear to be targeting 2012-2022 Hyundai vehicles.
