Synopsis: On 10/8/19, at approximately 1:15pm, residents returned to their unlocked room and discovered a subject located inside. The subject appeared to be attempting to commit a larceny. When confronted, the subject immediately left the area. The subject is described as a black male, thin build, 6’2”, wearing a black Nike windbreaker with white stripes, dark pants and a black bandana.

Synopsis: MSU Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the area outside of Wells Hall between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Suspect Information: The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-35 years-old, average height, short black hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.

Homecoming Parade Due to forecasts from the National Weather Service which indicates strong thunderstorms and lightning in the East Lansing area this afternoon and evening, the Michigan State University Homecoming Parade has been canceled. The parade was scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and last for approximately one hour. Michigan State University Police Department, working in conjunction with the East Lansing Police Department, evaluated the weather forecasts and determined hazardous conditions due to lightning, heavy rain and strong winds could be a threat to public safety. The parade will not be rescheduled.
