This is an MSU ALERT from the Michigan State University Police Department regarding an incident on the East Lansing campus.
A person is actively shooting at the East Lansing campus. This is an active and ongoing situation. Follow the Run, Hide and Fight guidelines. Secure in place; turn cell phones to silent; remain quite. Suspect description: short male with mask, possibly black male. On 2/11/2023 at approximately 12:22 am, an assault was reported to have occurred on the Shaw Lane sidewalk by West McDonel Hall.

Suspect Description: white, mid 20s-mid 30s, approx 6ft, blond/red hair and beard, green dark sage waist-length rain coat.

Synopsis: At approximately 12:06am on 12/9/2022, the Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety received a report of a carjacking that occurred along West Circle Drive, specifically near the Main Library. A police chase ensued and two individuals were apprehended in the city of Lansing. There is an ongoing investigation regarding this incident.
Suspect Information: Masked men wearing all black
Vehicle Information: Possibly a white sedan and a turquois sedan

Assault
This is an MSU ALERT from the Michigan State University Police regarding an incident in the City of East Lansing.
A report of shots fired occurred at or near Downtown East Lansing. If near by use caution. Contact East Lansing Police to report any unusual or suspicious activity. Gunshots were reported to have been fired in the area of the Grove Street Parking Ramp. Officers are on scene. Suspects are reported to be two black males, one wearing a black jacket with a red design on the back, and one with a backpack. Timely Warning for Burglary occurring on the East Lansing campus reported by Michigan State University Police Date Reported: 10-07-2022

Location: 1855 Place Apartments
Synopsis: Around 4:00 a.m. an unknown suspect entered an apartment at 1270 Garden City Rd. The suspect left the residence once confronted by the resident and left out the front door in an unknown direction. The suspect may have unsuccessfully attempted to enter several other apartments in the area.
Suspect Information: The suspect is a male, 20-25 years old, approximately 5’09”, slim build, medium length curly hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. The individual is also described as being highly intoxicated.
Vehicle Information: It is not known if a vehicle is involved.
