This is an MSU ALERT from the Michigan State University Police Department regarding an incident in the City of East Lansing.
At or near City of East Lansing the East Lansing Police report;
This is a follow-up message to the emergency alert. At about 7:00pm, a subject entered the Admiral Station on Grand River Ave. at Woodmere in East Lansing. The subject brandished a silver colored handgun and left the store on foot. Shortly after, a gunshot was heard to the south of Grand River Ave. The subject is described by witnesses as a black male, 40-50 years old wearing a green coat, black jeans, and a black face mask. Police are searching the area. Please stay away from that area and report anything suspicious by calling 911. Sent at 19:30:23 on 11-08-2021.

The East Lansing Police is reporting a person was seen with a weapon at or near City of East Lansing. If nearby, secure-in-place or evacuate if you can do so safely. Synopsis: Reported to PD at 2:37PM: Victim was walking near Berkey Hall when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect pushed the victim and retrieved money from the victim’s coat pocket and was last seen south bound towards E Circle Dr. No weapons were seen or indicated.
Suspect Information: White male, 40-49 yo, 5’9 to 5’10, average build, grey scruffy facial hair, wearing a blue rain jacket over a green MSU hoodie, and possibly blue jeans.

Date Reported: Between 9/3/2021 and 9/13/2021 Date Occurred: Between 9/2/2021 and 9/13/2021 Location: Butterfield Hall (1), Bailey Hall (1), 1855 Place (2), Lot 64 (1), and Ramp 7 (1), and Lot 89 (3) Synopsis: Nine moped thefts total were reported to have occurred across campus during the period of 9/2/2021 and 9/14/2021.
