MSU Alert: Timely Warning for Attempted Robbery

Date Occurred: 04-28-2022 at 9:00 p.m.

Location: South River Trail near the Business College Complex (west of Bogue St)

Synopsis: Victim reported that on 04-28-2022 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a suspect approached from behind and attempted to forcibly take their backpack. The victim was wearing the backpack at the time and was able to prevent the suspect from taking it. The suspect then left in an unknown direction.

Suspect Information: The victim described the suspect as a light completed black male, thin build, approximately 6 foot tall, wearing dark clothing and carrying a backpack.

MSU Timely Warning: Burglary
Timely Warning for Burglary occurring on the East Lansing campus reported by Michigan State University Police Date Reported: 02-19-2022
Date Occurred 02/20/2022
Location: Holmes Hall
Synopsis: On 02/20/2022 at about 5:00 am, the victim was awakened by the described suspect in the room. When the suspect was confronted, he left the room and took a blue Nike backpack. A check of the area did not locate the suspect. If anyone saw anything suspicious or anyone matching that description in the area, contact the MSU Police.
Suspect Information: Victim described the suspect as a white male, college age, 5’10” with a larger build and parted hair. Last seen wearing a gray sweater over a button-up shirt.

This is an MSU Timely Warning UPDATE from the Michigan State University Police Department regarding an incident on the East Lansing campus.
At or near Mary Mayo Hall the Michigan State University Police report;
This is an update to an earlier Timely Warning sent on 1/23/22 about a Sexual Assault that took place in Mayo Hall. The incident occurred between midnight and 3 am. During the follow-up investigation completed by MSU Police, a suspect was identified. However, the investigation remains open and ongoing at this time. Sent at 11:19:17 on 02-04-2022.

Community Bulletin for a Road Closure on the East Lansing campus reported by Michigan State University Police Date Reported: 02-01-2022. Synopsis: There is a disabled train blocking Hagadorn Rd. near Wilson Rd. All northbound and southbound traffic on Hagadorn Rd. is being diverted. Please seek an alternate route. It is estimated to take approximately one hour to move the train. ****Update**** The train is now clear and the roadway is open.

Synopsis: A sexual assault was reported to MSU Police on 1/23/2022. This incident is believed to have occurred at Mayo Hall between the hours of midnight and 3am, in the victim’s dorm room. The suspect was described by the victim as an unknown male, with tan skin, and curly hair, approximately 5’9″ tall. Please contact the MSU Police if you have any information regarding this incident.

Michigan State University Police TIMELY WARNING for Aggravated Assault: On 12/13/2021 at approximately 3:37 p.m. local police responded to a report of shots fired near the MSU College of Human Medicine Building which is located at 200 E 1st St, Flint, MI 48502. At this time the investigation indicates that a shooting did occur, however there is no imminent threat to the MSU community. Police are on scene investigating.
